Berry Botanic Garden

Part-time reference librarian at Lake Oswego Public Library, Claire Kellogg is working as a volunteer on a project for The Berry Botanic Garden. They have a cataloged collection of books (several hundred she thinks) but they are not in any computer program. She is planning to input and make a “catalog” using Microsoft Access. Most of the the work is being completed at the LOPL library, since it will be more convenient than working at the garden which is in the Dunthorpe area of Portland, near L & C college.

One or two volunteers needed:

1. anyone with Access experience who could set up the database would be great.
(Claire is just an Access “beginner” so any expertise with it would be greatly appreciated!)

2. someone interested to put in 4 or more hours inputing the data would be great as well.

She would like to finish this project by the end of October. Although the actual data input would be done at Lake Oswego PL, a “field trip” to the Berry Botanic Garden would also be arranged to keep it interesting.

If you are interested, please call or email Claire to discuss times that would work for you.
